Rhythmic Dictation, Compound Duple Meter

One Measures Exercises

These examples are progressive, starting from the simplest to more complex. These are all notated in 6/8 meter and are one measure long. Get some blank music manuscript paper, write in the time signature, and write down the rhythm you hear. You can repeatedly play the audio file as many times as you wish, though most tests give only a few hearings. When you're satisfied you've notated it correctly, click to see the answer to check your accuracy.
