Simplest Voicings for ii, V, I in Major Mode

Practice this basic set of chord voicings for a standard ii, V, I chord progression. It is probably the simplest and easiest way to start playing ii, V, I's in major keys on a piano. Technically it uses a root position m7 chord, followed by a second inversion V7, followed by root position maj7 and 6 I chords.

Once you're got a handle on how to do this in the key of C major, transpose it to other keys.

The video below has a backing track you can practice with. You can start with the whole note rhythm notated below at first, but then try some of the comping patterns here when you're ready for something more difficult.
