The Blues Scale

While doing some research on the blues scale for this webpage, I found that, although the scale described below is most-often cited as THE blues scale, it has a complex history, and appears in many different forms. Out of simplicity and practicality, I am going to limit my attention below to the predominant form of the blues scale, while listing some articles that go into more depth in case you're interested. I am not an expert on this subject, so I offer these articles with the understanding that one must be careful of anything one finds on the internet. However, that said, these articles seem to be accurate.
