Skill Eleven: Re-opening a project
After you've save a project using either "save project" or "save project as", you can re-open them later and continue to work on them at the point you left off. It's like putting your scrap book project away for the day and coming back to it the next day. (Of course, when you're working on a scrap book you don't have to do anything special to save the work you've done. But computer's aren't so smart; they need you to tell them to save the work you've done so that you can start where you left off on another day. Remind me again why we use computers?) ;-) When you save a project it's like taking a picture of it so that you can begin again later without losing any of the hard work you've already done. (This isn't a subject for this tutorial, but you should back up your computer's hard drive often, preferably daily, and store the backup copy somewhere safe. Better yet, save two or more backup copies, one on-site, a second off-site, a third where your best friend lives, etc. The more copies you have, the less likely it is that you'll ever lose your work due to a catastrophic perfect storm of multiple failures.)
